My name is Joanna,
and I have always lived between languages. I work in Greek, Romanian and English, so carrying meaning from one language and culture to another comes naturally to me.
I am also a committed AI enthusiast. I use these tools in my everyday work and I am convinced they are changing how we communicate, so I make a point of learning them properly rather than from the sidelines. And I treat communication as far more than a few lines of text. Before I write anything, I look at the whole picture: who it is for, the setting, and what the message needs to achieve.
The Story
Studio-Lexis started in 2026 in Limassol, born from a simple realisation: communication was never just part of my work-it was the work.
I founded the boutique to bring an institutional standard of communication to the organisations that need it most: public institutions, councils, startups building a voice from nothing, and small companies in regulated professions, where every published word carries risk.
Lexis means "words" in Greek, my mother tongue. It reflects what makes my approach different, a deep understanding that language carries culture, and that effective messaging requires both linguistic skill and cultural awareness.
Experience Overview
For nearly a decade I ran the communication and consular work at the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Bucharest: institutional messaging, media relations, internal and crisis communication, and public engagement, in Greek, Romanian and English.
Additionally, I worked in due diligence and business intelligence, where the standard is accuracy, not persuasion.
That grounding shapes every project at Studio-Lexis: communication strategy, internal and corporate communication, public affairs, content and localisation.
